How to bulk create user profiles by importing a spreadsheet file
- Navigate to the Admin Area from Map View
- Click on "User Groups"
- Select the User Group in the list in which you would like to create or move new users into
- Click the drop-down for Bulk Upload / Move Users
- Create an import file matching the import template shown.
- It must be in CSV file format
- Firstname and Surname must be separate columns
- The email field is used to create a unique user profile, it cannot be duplicated for multiple users
- Mobile number must be written in the example format including the international dialling code
- Then from the drop downs:
- Choose a role for new users - select from the drop-down, it is recommended to always select Operative for bulk user imports (see the knowledge article on User Roles for more information on user permissions).
- Choose a subscription Level for new users only - there is normally only one option here
- Send welcome e-mail to new users? Select yes/no
- Move existing users on the import file to this user group? If the user already exists under the customer in the system and they are on this import file, you can choose to also move them to this user group
- Send welcome emails to existing users on the import file? Select Yes/No. It is important to note if you select Yes, it will reset their password, so they will have to go through the register process again
- Then drag and drop or "choose file" to import the travel bookings file
- The progress line will show:
- Green - full import has been successful
- Red - something has gone wrong
Red Import Fail:
- There may be something obviously wrong on the import file, the system may inform you which cell/field is reporting the error
- If you do not know the cause of the failed import, contact the Solace Support team and send through securely the travel booking file. We must receive the original file in order to diagnose the problem with the specific import.
