How to enable live location on your mobile app
1. In the menu grid of the app, tap Tracking
2. Tap Live Location
3. Toggle live location to be enabled
4. In the pop up select "Change to Always Allow" permission
Your live location will now be enabled from the Solace Secure app. You must ensure you are on the latest version of the Solace Secure app (iOS version 2.8.9, Android version 2.33).
Best Practises:
- Keep the app open, ie Don't force close it
- Don't restart the device
- Don't enter low power mode
If any of these actions are done, the app will automatically default into a "fallback" mode which is a reduced tracking interval until the app is re-opened again.
For Apple device users, iOS may periodically ask the user to reconfirm that "Always Allow" location permission is still allowed. This is a standard privacy protection measure and will occur at a random interval frequency. Users should continue to re-confirm "Always Allow" if prompted to do so.
Note: If the "Always Allow" permission is not enabled, then the app is unable to use the fallback tracking as highlighted above.
Opening the app will provide a shortcut to Settings "Open Settings" to then change the "Location" permission. Re-open the app after enabling the setting as a best practise.

How to see someone's enabled live location - mobile app
1. Tap on Menu in the main menu grid
2. Tap Live Location
3. Zoom into the map to see user's locations in more detail (See video below)
How to see someone's enabled live location - web platform
1. Navigate to the Administration area
2. Click on Live Location
3. Zoom into the map to see user's locations in more detail
In order to view another user's location you must have the correct administrator settings in the platform.
